TaxisVertswill modernize the Collecto mobile application. The objective is to regain the same level of use as before the covid crisis.
Launched in 2008 by the Brussels Region, Collecto is a low-cost collective cab night service to get around Brussels safely. While Stib's public transport is not operational during the night, it is thus possible to share a trip in a cab. To do this, you have to go to one of 200 Stib stops that are part of the Collecto network and book your trip via A mobile application.

Before the health crisis, Collecto had a lot of fans, especially with night workers (nurses, catering staff, etc.) and young people looking for an inexpensive way to get home from the evening - in this case 6 euros per person, regardless of the length of the trip. During the covid crisis, health rules did not allow several people to share a vehicle and The service was paused for three years.
In the new app, night workers who regularly make the same trip will be able to record their favorite Collecto stops.

Collecto was reactivated last May. In the eyes of TaxisVerts, a subsidiary of the D'Ieteren Auto group, there is now work to be done on reputation to help Brussels residents discover or rediscover the existence and advantages of this service. Les TaxisVerts have therefore brought the mobile application up to date. "We added the Payconiq option, which is now the most used payment method", says Michael Leidensdorf, marketing manager at Les TaxisVerts.
New features
The latter adds thatanew and improved version of the app will be available in a few days. In addition to a new design, new features will gradually appear to facilitate the use of the service. Night workers who regularly make the same trip will thus be able to record their favorite Collecto stops while Parents will be able to credit their teenagers' accounts who can, for their part, send promo codes to their friends.
